Hommer Tool & Manufacturing Doubles Production Space

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Illinois, June 1, 2006 . . . Hommer Tool & Manufacturing, Inc., a leading maker of custom mold-ready components, has expanded its facility from 12,000 to 24,000 square feet, adding all of the new space to the production area. The addition allows Hommer to house all of its capabilities under one roof, including the personnel and equipment added as a result of its acquisition of Romar Mold, Inc.

“We made this investment to be able to offer our customers additional services, faster turnaround and economies of scale,” says Susan Menn, Marketing Manager for Hommer Tool. “Our goal continues to be to make the best custom mold-ready components possible; we will not make the molds themselves.”

New in-house services in the expanded facility include Electric Discharge Machine (EDM) capability, laser engraving and polishing.

Hommer’s custom made mold-ready components are used by a diverse number of manufacturers who produce a wide variety of products serving the medical, pharmaceutical, dental, consumer, and industrial markets.
