Collapsible cores are used to produce more efficiently plastic injection molded parts requiring internal threads, undercuts, protrusions or cutouts.

Hommer collapsible cores are shorter than the conventional cores and a feature two-piece construction and a cooled center core for maximum productivity. All cores are supplied with stripper rings. Multiple stock sizes are available, as well as custom engineering and finishing when required for special mold applications. Hommer cores are competitively priced and available in short lead times.

Using Hommer’s collapsible cores simplifies mold construction and finishing operations. No complicated finishing is required beyond simple grinding, if desired.
